MAD MEN" was the direction I received from art director
Erin Wengrovius at
BUST Magazine a couple months ago. This shot is for the fun and fabulously nostalgic
Museum of Femorbila section that is in every issue. This
Museum of Femorbilia article happens to be on one of the first typewriters that was geared towards women in the 60s. Fortunately, I happen to love
MAD MEN and between prop stylist
Stephanie Hanes and my personal collection of 60s objects we pulled this off with no budget. The desk lamp happen to come directly from my
mother's old drafting table when she worked as a designer at an advertising agency in the 60s, so it truly played the part.
Even though the images were for different articles, they go together in some ways.
